Report of First Virtual (8th Inter House) Tae-kwon-do Competition on 30th October’20
The first ever Virtual (8th Inter House) Tae-kwon-do Competition was conducted successfully on 30th October’20 (Friday) in the club hour from 01:05-02:05 pm. In Tae-kwon-do competitions, the idea is to demonstrate power, speed and technique. A competitor's 'presence' on the mat must be as credible as his technique. The participants exhibited various stances, kicks and blocks. Our Champions also showcased self-belief, confidence in abilities, and intention to perform to personal best virtues considered indispensable in Tae-kwon-do practitioners.
Their techniques displayed the requisite speed, power and firmness to be realistically used as an attack or defence move. Mr. Kulwant Singh (Black belt 3 dan from south korea,Awarded by governor,National referee,Three times india champion ,International player) judged the participants based on various parameters such as kicks, bunches, blocks etc.
The participants were divided into 3 groups:
Group 1-Grade I and II
Group 2: Grade III to V
Group 3: Grade VI onwards
It was encouraging to witness various techniques of Tae-kwon-do the students have learnt and their power pack performances.
The students demonstrated kicks, bunches and blocks. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
